March 2025 – Technical Note – UFS-25-01 Rev 1.00 – TAP In-Line Air Filter

To help prevent issues with TRUE ADVANCED PURGE™ (TAP) devices, UNITED Fire Systems now provides an in-line air filter to reduce debris in the tubing line from the Purge Vent Assembly Model PVA-2 from contaminating the TAP device. The filter is lightweight and compact, and the flexible mounting orientation makes it easy to install the filter in the tubing line. The filter should be installed at the time of system installation. Filters are also available from UNITED Fire Systems to retrofit existing installations.
